The BiRžai Database 1860-1941
This database a list of Jewish people born after 1860 who had a connection to Biržai until Aug 1941. With such a list, descendants of these families can conduct their own genealogical research. List of names on memorial wall
This database includes the surname, given name, and birth year, when known, of the victims that are currently inscribed on the memorial wall. The names are purposefully engraved in Lithuanian, to remind visitors to the wall that these Jewish people were, after all, Lithuanian citizens. Some of the given names are unknown and they are listed as Nežinomas, which means unknown.
There are 551 names on the memorial wall as of July 2021.
